I have owned this vest for about five years and used it about three and the black has faded out already. This was more than I usually pay for a vest and therefore I am very disappointed in this product. I thought for the price it would last (color wise)for a lot longer.
The good point is it was made in the USA.defense

I wish that this person had given a name or called the store. It is always better to know who might not be happy with a product so that we can try to offer advice. In any event, all natural leather will fade from the sun over time. There are ways to keep the color from fading. By using a lotion or an oil, it will help to keep the color looking better longer. -
simple but outstanding

This is the best vest I have ever found. I have owned three leather vest over my 35 plus years riding, and I have to say this is a simple but outstanding vest. The single seam on the back panel makes sewing club patches on very easy. The lack of a liner is an awesome feature, nothing to get in the way. I will recommend this item to all my friends. And as a 23 year veteran of the military I love the fact that it is made in the USA. I will be a return customer!!! Thank you for a simply wonderful product.
